Policies and Guidelines

Behavior Guidelines

The Staff at Kirkland Rainbow Adventure day camp are VOLUNTEERS, giving our time and energy generously to provide an excellent program for your Camper.  With this in mind, parents and campers must agree to the following guidelines and policies.

  • Guardians will drop off and pick up their camper during the communicated timeframes.  We cannot accept campers early or keep them late, even if they have a sibling who is a PA.
  • Guardians and campers will be sensitive in communication, being aware that we are all human beings doing our best as a gift of ourselves to others.
  • When problems or concerns arise, we will communicate them through the camp director or PA Advisor.
  • When something is needed, I will speak up!
  • We promise to think the best of each other and bring our patience and grace for each other.

Safety Policies

  • Health policies will be followed according to GSWW guidelines.   Health Guidelines | Girl Scouts of Western Washington
  • If campers cannot follow the guidelines, guardians will be expected to pick up the camper within 20 minutes of notification.
  • Campers will be expected to be Girl Scout Ready per the questionnaire published by GSWW.  If campers show any symptoms defined by GSWW, campers will not be allowed to participate in the in-person session.
  • If campers exhibit any symptoms of being sick while at camp, guardians will be expected to pick up the camper within 30 minutes of notification and the camper will be isolated until they are picked up.

Cancelation policy

Cancelations before June 1st, 2026, will be fully refunded.  Refunds after this date will be made at the discretion of the camp.

Diversity and equity are core values of Girl Scouts of Western Washington. We aim to empower every Girl Scout-girls of every race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, ability, gender identity, religion, or geographic location-to make the world a better place. We also recognize that gender is not binary – people don’t identify only as boys or girls. We welcome children from across the gender spectrum: those who identify as transgender, agender, androgynous, etc., and those who are in transition or questioning their gender identity. Because the Girl Scout mission is to specifically hold space for Girl Scouts to build courage, confidence and character, Girl Scouts would not be an appropriate space for those who identify as cis gender boys (those whose gender identity is male and their assigned sex at birth is male).
