From 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, campers participate in a variety of stations such as exploring nature, outdoor skills development, cooking, crafts, and games. We encourage campers to try new skills, but being "challenged by choice" means a camper may decide they are not ready. Often seeing others successfully complete a task is all the encouragement a camper might need to give it a try themselves. More often than not, our campers surprise themselves by what they are capable of!
Each day has a special activity or unique guest speaker related to our theme. Friday afternoon is camp-wide games and silliness.
In between stations and eating great food, campers have fun with their unit. Playing games, singing songs, learning new skills, water play, or just hanging out with friends are all part of a camper's day!
We start and end each day with a traditional flag ceremony. Each unit at camp has the opportunity to lead either the opening or closing flag ceremony.

We recommend that campers bring the following items every day:
We are a nut free camp and often have campers with severe allergies, so please respect the no-nut policy. If a camper has nuts in their lunch, we may need to call to bring an alternative lunch.

For safety, campers must wear closed-toe shoes; no open-toe sandals or flip flops. If your camper does not have the proper footwear, we will not allow them to participate in activities until shoes arrive.
We spend the entire day outdoors. Please wear weather-appropriate clothing and bring a jacket or sweatshirt, according to the weather forecast.
Per GSWW policy, we cannot share sunscreen so please make sure your camper has it applied at drop off and carries it with them during the day. Our Program Aides will remind them throughout the day to drink water and apply sunscreen!

For drop off and pick up, there will be tables set outside of the school entrance with lines for each unit color. For drop off, just check in your camper with the adult volunteer for their unit color. On Monday, you will need to drop off your medical forms and double check the approved pick up list to make sure its accurate.
Only adults on the approved checkout list setup in 6Crickets will be allowed to pick you your camper. ALL adults need photo ID to pick up their camper. Even if we know you, its GSWW policy that you need to show it every day. On pick up, there will be the same tables and once you show ID, you will get a clothespin with your camper's name so the PAs can go grab them for you.

Forest Green campers plan their overnight activities on Monday, stay overnight at River Ranch on Tuesday and Wednesday, return to camp Thursday afternoon, and join in all-camp fun and games on Friday. Forest Green campers discuss their overnight packing list as part of their overall planning on the first day of camp. However, all girls should plan to bring the following for their overnight adventure:
REMEMBER: Mark EVERYTHING with your camper's name!

Diversity and equity are core values of Girl Scouts of Western Washington. We aim to empower every Girl Scout-girls of every race, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, ability, gender identity, religion, or geographic location-to make the world a better place. We also recognize that gender is not binary – people don’t identify only as boys or girls. We welcome children from across the gender spectrum: those who identify as transgender, agender, androgynous, etc., and those who are in transition or questioning their gender identity. Because the Girl Scout mission is to specifically hold space for Girl Scouts to build courage, confidence and character, Girl Scouts would not be an appropriate space for those who identify as cis gender boys (those whose gender identity is male and their assigned sex at birth is male).
